MONITORING OF
GENERATORS AND MOTORS

We are specialists in monitoring generators and engines for partial discharges.

Partial discharge (PD) activity is the indication of incipient insulation failure and is widely considered the best “early warning” indicator of insulation deterioration.

According to a study conducted by CIGRE, the main failures in hydroelectric generators are due to insulation damage, thermal damage and mechanical damage, and 22% of insulation failures are due to partial discharges.

The Rotating Machine Monitoring (RMM), manufactured by Dynamic Ratings, is the ideal solution for your motors and generators. Through its coupling capacitors, partial discharges that are important for diagnostics are detected.

The Dynamic Ratings module uses RTDs installed in the stator slots to detect internal partial discharges. The combination of coupling capacitors and RTDs expands the detection capacity. The product has up to 30 channels per device for simultaneous acquisition.
